Golden River
How long do we stay by the Golden River
on the shores of faith in the sin of pride?
How long do we stand at the gates of Heaven
till we’re not afraid to step inside?
How long till we’re thankful for the life we’re livin’
from the warming sun and the deep blue sea?
How long till we’re grateful for the Love we’re given?
When we’re not afraid to set it free?
It can be so simple
There’s no need to fear
Look across the Valley
Look inside the mirror
How long do we wait for the next arrival
while the ship to glory’s waiting here?
How long do we pray for our own salvation
from the sinner’s mountain in depravity?
How long do we stay by the Golden River
without love, or hope, or charity?
It can be so simple
